Linear 4-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 10 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

A4x4-10mm-400-500-9000 wireframe schematic

Four long shanks side by side, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 1.5 mm-deep site array (66th percentile), 6.97 sites/mm² (4th percentile) and a 2.03 mm³ neural interface (92nd percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The long shanks reach deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
