Linear 4-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 3 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four short shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.33 mm-deep site array (19th percentile), 120 sites/mm² (35th percentile) and a 0.38 mm³ neural interface (23rd percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The short shanks suit superficial targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 25 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
