Linear 4-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 3 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four short shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.61 mm-deep site array (33rd percentile), 42 sites/mm² (18th percentile) and a 0.62 mm³ neural interface (48th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The short shanks suit superficial targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 25 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
