Linear 4-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 4 mm
Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four mid-length shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 4 mm shanks (21st percentile of the 366 measured), a 0.64 mm-deep site array (35th percentile), 39 sites/mm² (16th percentile) and a 0.65 mm³ neural interface (51st percentile).
Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 25 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
