Linear 4-Shank 16-Channel Probe, 5 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four mid-length shanks side by side, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the lower quartile: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.31 mm-deep site array (17th percentile), 34 sites/mm² (12th percentile) and a 0.82 mm³ neural interface (62nd percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 6 package configurations, 1 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
