Linear 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 3 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A4x8 3mm 100 200 703 probe

Four short shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 3 mm shanks (a common choice — 37 of 363), a 0.73 mm-deep site array (39th percentile), 70 sites/mm² (27th percentile) and a 0.69 mm³ neural interface (55th percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The short shanks suit superficial targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 24 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
