Linear 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four mid-length shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 1.42 mm-deep site array (62nd percentile), 18 sites/mm² (6th percentile) and a 1.66 mm³ neural interface (85th percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 13 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
