Linear 4-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Four mid-length shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 0.37 mm-deep site array (23rd percentile), 70 sites/mm² (27th percentile) and a 0.75 mm³ neural interface (61st percentile).

Large sites read a wider patch at lower impedance, suited to field potentials and multi-unit activity, spaced for a laminar profile. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 13 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
