Linear 8-Shank 256-Channel Probe, 8 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A8x32 8mm 50 300 160 probe

Eight long shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 256 sites (99th percentile), 8 mm shanks (67th percentile of the 366 measured), a 1.56 mm-deep site array (75th percentile), 77 sites/mm² (31st percentile) and a 2.7 mm³ neural interface (94th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced for a laminar profile. The long shanks reach deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 5 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
