Edge 8-Shank 32-Channel Probe, 5 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

Eight mid-length shanks side by side, with sites along the shank's edge, closest to the tissue the probe faces. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 32 sites (a common choice — 155 of 369), 5 mm shanks (a common choice — 107 of 363), a 1.32 mm-deep site array (60th percentile), 6.9 sites/mm² (3rd percentile) and a 3.66 mm³ neural interface (96th percentile).

spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The mid-length shanks reach structures a few millimetres down.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 µm thick. Z-coat available. Research use only.
