Linear 8-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 10 mm

Sites spread along the shank — linear and edge layouts for depth profiling

NeuroNexus A8x8 10mm 200 200 177 probe

Eight long shanks side by side, closely spaced for coverage within one structure, with sites spread evenly down each, one per row, for a profile across depth. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 1.41 mm-deep site array (61st percentile), 32 sites/mm² (12th percentile) and a 1.83 mm³ neural interface (88th percentile).

Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it. The long shanks reach deep targets.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 22 package configurations, 2 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
