Tetrode 4-Shank 64-Channel Probe, 10 mm
Parallel shanks at a pitch fixed in fabrication — the same layer across several columns

Four long shanks side by side, spread for lateral coverage across columns, with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is mid-range: 64 sites (a common choice — 68 of 369), 10 mm shanks (a common choice — 79 of 363), a 1.09 mm-deep site array (56th percentile), 58 sites/mm² (22nd percentile) and a 1.2 mm³ neural interface (78th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The long shanks reach deep targets.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 24 package configurations, 3 of them microdrive-compatible. Silicon 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
