Tetrode Single-Shank 16-Channel Probe

Parallel shanks at a pitch fixed in fabrication — the same layer across several columns

A single shank with sites grouped in tetrodes at intervals, for unit isolation at set depths. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it is in the upper quartile: 16 sites (a common choice — 84 of 369), a 3.94 mm-deep site array (94th percentile), 56 sites/mm² (21st percentile) and a 1.27 mm³ neural interface (80th percentile).

spaced widely to span a structure rather than resolve within it.

Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 4 package configurations. Silicon 15 or 50 µm thick. Z-coat available. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
