SiNAPS 1-Shank 256-Channel Probe
CMOS active-pixel silicon probe — 256 simultaneous channels on one shank

A single mid-length shank with an active pixel beneath every site. Among the 371 probe designs in the design space it sits at the top: 256 sites (99th percentile), 5.5 mm shanks (52nd percentile of the 366 measured), a 3.77 mm-deep site array (93rd percentile), 1,560 sites/mm² (92nd percentile) and a 1.16 mm³ neural interface (77th percentile).
Small sites read a local patch at higher impedance, sharpening single-unit isolation, packed densely enough to track a unit across neighbouring sites. The mid-length shank reaches structures a few millimetres down.
Orders as a probe-plus-package assembly, in 3 package configurations. Silicon 50 µm thick. Optical stimulation runs from a separate laser or LED source. Research use only.
